Damson Plum Cake is here, which means summer is slowly making way for fall. We have jars of Damson jam in the shop, and we are also putting it in this week’s cake. Damson’s have a rich deep plummy flavor a dusky sort of gothy plum that shows up just as summer is starting to fade.

We are pairing it with our buckwheat chiffon cake, vanilla pastry cream and Damson plum jam and plum buttercream, a pretty dusky pink cake.

We got more fig leaves from Russ and Allison’s tree, and will continue our fig and fig leaf éclairs. We are also bringing back our Flavor King Pluot Galettes for one last time before the Flavor Kings disappear, don’t miss them in this galette, it’s a summer treat.
