This Saturday East Bay Bakers Against Racism are teaming up to assemble some beautiful and delicious goods for you with 100% of the proceeds going to Black Organizing Project a local grassroots organization working for racial, social and economic justice here in Oakland. Check out the work they are doing to fight the criminalization of students of color in OUSD, as well as empowering voters in East Oakland. Then go to the East Bay Bakers website and order lots of treats (pastry boxes, gifts!, future toast) made by local bakers and pick-up this Saturday in the yard at Tacos Oscar. from 11-2.
I’m making some pocket-sized apricot almond cakes with blenheim apricots donated by Guru Ram Das Orchard to go in the afternoon pastry box. So many goodies!
P.S. don’t miss out on Natalie’s rye and Peter’s cinnamon raisin bread.
Xo and thank you for you support! mk
