Cake slices this Saturday and Sunday
I have some really beautiful and delicious quince going into this cake for you this weekend at The Kebabery. It’s the true star here along with a light walnut chiffon cake, vanilla bean pastry cream and nocino buttercream. I’m pulling out all the stops because what the hell, we need it. I’m cracking open my very precious bottle of nocino gifted from my Camino days (thank you, Tyler Vogel), and if you haven’t had this homemade liqueur made from green (unripe) walnuts it is aromatic, slightly bitter and rich in walnut flavor. I think it’ll offset the sweetness of the buttercream and deepen the walnut flavor in the cake. I’ll have a limited amount of slices that you can order here or walk up and order at the door with your Kebabery dinner.
